Vault Conditions:Site is on West Island, a small (approximate ly 5 km x 500 m) island of a classic coral atoll, on the grounds of the Meteorological Office adjacent to the airport runway. The KS54000 is emplaced in a cased borehole at a depth of 70.1 meters. The CMG-3T is emplaced in a shallow cased borehole at a depth of 4.8 meters approximately 1 meter from the deep borehole. The STS-2 is on the floor of a 1.25-meter deep auxiliary vault located about 70 meters E of the borehole wellhead near the edge of the lagoon. The water table is at sea level (-1.25 meters). | |
