FDSN Network Information

FDSN code XM (2019-2021) Network name REMPARTS
Start year 2019 Operated by
End year 2021 Deployment region -
Description

Study of large-scale rockslides affecting high cliffs at Reunion Island(the "Remparts") in order to specify the conditions of stability and the impact of the cliff retreat. The project aims to characterize the morphology, geology and geotechnical characteristics of these large instabilities, with in situ measurements (seismometers, extensometers), field observations, the study of historical events, the use of mechanical models.
