Start year 2017 Operated by
  • University Of Montana, United States of America
End year - Deployment region
Description

The University of Montana seismic network records continuous broadband seismic data in western Montana, USA. The network is deployed within a region of diffuse tectonic deformation and a band of intraplate seismicity known as the Intermountain Seismic Belt (ISB). The instrumentation consists of three-component (E,N,Z), broadband Metrozet MBB-2 seismometers and Kinemetrics Obsidian4X dataloggers. Data are not telemetered; they are collected regularly from the field and archived with IRIS.
