| Description |
The network consists of three seismic arrays each comprising four BB stations and six SP geophones with an aperture of about 700 m and additional single geophone stations, two on the island of Brava and five on the island of Fogo. The network was designed to apply multi-array seismology in order to map local seismic activity releated to the magmatic supply system of the Fogo volcano. The single stations provide additional information at sites located off the arrays to also allow for classical localisation methods. All stations provide continuious seismic data with a sample rate of 200 Hz. |
