Description |
In August of 2017, a temporary seismic network was deployed inside and around the Lerma Valley, named Lerma Valley Ring Installation of Seismometers (LeVaRIS), in northwestern Argentina. This network encompassed the southern-central and northern regions of the Lerma Valley and operated for a total duration of thirteen months. The LEVARIS network spanned an extensive area, extending 80 km north-south and 30 km east-west. The seismic stations were equipped with Lennartz 3D/5s 3-component sensors and, in one case, with a short period Mark L4C-3D buried at a depth of approximately 60 centimeters. The data-acquisition process was conducted using DATA-Cube3 type 2 digitizers at a sampling rate of 100 Hz. The stations' energy requirements were met by batteries powered by solar panels. |
