SEISMOMETER TYPE:
Teledyne-Geotech Model 36000 borehole seismometer.    

DIGITAL FORMAT:
16 bit gain-ranged data words for all components.  Range: +2,096,128 
to -2,097,152 counts.

EVENT DETECTOR ALGORITHM:
The Murdock event detector (Murdock, 1983) was installed on 03 May 1983.  Prior
to this time an event detector developed by Unitech Corp., Austin, Texas was used.
This detector was not documented.

COMMENTS:
A complete description of the SRO system can be found in Peterson et al. (1976).
Persistent telemetry problems at GRFO frequently resulted in the loss of several
samples of data in some records.  This caused a one second time loss for each
sample of long period data lost in transit.  This could pose some problems when
analyzing this data.
