DATES OF OPERATION:    18 Oct 1986 to 13 Sep 1987.	

SEISMOMETER TYPE:
Benioff seismometer Geotech Model 1051 for SHZ component, and Model 1101 for
SHN and SHE components.  Sprengnether long period seismometers, Model 201 and
Model 100 for both long period vertical and horizontal components respectively.

DIGITAL FORMAT:
16 bit integer data words for all components.  Range: +32,767 to -32,768 counts.

EVENT DETECTOR ALGORITHIM:  
The event detector used for the SHZ channel was developed by at the ASL and is 
not documented.  The mid-period channels are detected on a straight forward  
amplitude basis.
