| Description |
It’s a mobile seismic network run by Osservatorio Etneo of Catania (Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia) on Etna volcano (Sicily, Italy), to increase the detection capacity of permanent monitoring systems. This temporary infrastructure allowing a substantial improvement in the monitoring and evaluation of earthquakes and seismo-volcanic signals. All the stations that are part of the network are equipped with broadband seismic velocity sensors, 24-bit digitizers and 4G modem routers for real-time data transmission. |
