FDSN Network Information

FDSN code YH (1999-2003) Network name Imaging Galapagos Upwelling & Neotectonics (IGUANA)
Start year 1999 Operated by
  • University of Oregon, United States of America
End year 2003 Deployment region
Description

A broadband seismic array, comprising 12 sites, was deployed for 3.5 years in order to record data suitable for imaging the mantle structure beneath the Galapagos archipelago. Stations recorded three-component data continuosly at 20 sps.
Some sites also recorded active source data, which was collected in order to constrain crustal thickness across the archipelago.
Start Date: 9/1/1999 Date of Demobilization: 3/25/2003
