FDSN Network Information

FDSN code XR (2012-2014) Network name Deployment of a simultaneous broadband gradiometers to quantify the effects of aperture and near-surface geology on gradient-der (Gradient Study)
Start year 2012 Operated by
  • East Carolina University (ECU), United States of America
End year 2014 Deployment region
Description

Two-stage deployment of a small-scale, broadband array. First portion is a 14-instrument array (maximum aperture 400m) ~20km southeast of Augusta, GA, USA. Second portion is two arrays: first array is a 6-instrument array (aperture <200m) at the same site listed in part one and the second array will be a 6-instrument array (aperture <200m) located approximately 40km NNW of the first array. These two arrays will record simultaneously.
