FDSN Network Information

FDSN code T3 Network name Rete Accelerometrica Terna (RAT)
Start year 2019 Operated by
End year 2599 Deployment region Italy
Description

The Terna Accelerometric Network (RAT) consists initially of 25 sensors distributed in areas of the national territory characterized by significant seismic hazard. Through the RAT the real characteristics of the ground stresses are directly measured when strong motion sequences occur at the plants most exposed to seismic risk.
