Description |
The New Zealand National Seismograph Network (NZNSN) stations employ six- components (3D broadband, and 3D strong motion) recordings and are located throughout the country to provide a uniform location and data collection capability for the study of New Zealand and international tectonic problems. They are also used, along with the regional seismograph stations (3D short-period, 3Dstrong motion) to provide rapid earthquake locations for public information and responding agencies. |

Additional Notes | The International Federation of Digital Seismograph Networks (FDSN) has defined web services for accessing waveform, station and event information. Data centres adopting these, such as GeoNet and IRIS, are be able to offer their data in a consistent way through this service. Primary endpoint : https://www.geonet.org.nz/data/tools/FDSN |
