Description |
The Czech Microbarograph Network (CMN) is a permanent network operated by the Institute of Atmospheric Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences. The main purpose of the network is a continuous monitoring of infrasound and collecting data for scientific research. After the testing period, the first infrasound array of the CMN, PVCI started its operation in 2014. The PVCI array is equipped with three differential sensors of the type Infrasound Gage ISGM03; its aperture is 200 m. The second array, WBCI was deployed at the end of 2016. WBCI is a large aperture array with an inter-element distance of 4-10 km; it is equipped with four absolute microbarographs Paroscientific 6000-16B-IS. The continuous records of pressure fluctuations from both arrays are acquired in near real time and are stored in the data centre of the Institute of Atmospheric Physics, CAS. |
