| Description |
The SISZ 2008 temporary network was installed in response to the 2008 May 29 MW 6 earthquake doublet in the western South Iceland Seismic Zone. This was a temporary network consisting of 13 stations, and it’s purpose was to monitor crustal movements in the SISZ in 2008. Eleven out of the 13 stations were installed between May 29th and May 31st. The equipment of one of those stations (HOLL) was taken down after 6 days of measurements and re-deployed in a new location (INGO). The thirteenth station was installed on June 22nd. The network was eventually removed on July 1st and 2nd. Instruments used were Reftek RT130-01 dataloggers and 10 Lennartz 5s three-component seismometers as well as two Geotech KS-2000M broadband seismometers. The data format is MSEED. |
