| Description |
We will be exploding four chemical charges at EMRTC of various strengths up to 50 kg TNT equivalent (buried up to 10 feet deep). Charges will be measured by balloon-borne infrasound sensors (JPL provided), as well as ground-based seimometers (borrowed from IRIS PASSCAL). Experiment will take place on Thursday Aug 22. Friday Aug 23 is backup day, and Wednesday Aug 21 is a practice day for setup. JPL personnel will fly into ABQ on Tues Aug 20. |
