Start year 2012 Operated by
  • The ScanArray Consortium, Germany
End year 2017 Deployment region
Description

ScanArray is an initiative of several countries to install a dense temporary network of broadband stations in Norway, Sweden and Finland in order to provide detailed information on the crust and mantle of Scandinavia. The following institutions have contributed to the operation of this network: University of Copenhagen, University of Oslo, University of Aarhus, and GeoForschungsZentrum Potsdam (GFZ) and Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).
Closely related networks also contributing to ScanArray but not included in this network code are NEONOR2 (University of Bergen and NORSAR), the Norwegian National Seismic Network (University of Bergen), seismic array stations in Norway (NORSAR) SCANLIPS3D (University of Leicester) and the Swedish National Seismic Network (SNSN, op. by Uppsala University)
